Huda Sharawi organized a women's demonstrations in 1919. More than 500 women marched in the demonstrations across Egypt against the British occupation in their first appearance in the Egyptian political life. Two women were shot dead by the British.  نظمت هدى شعراوى اول مظاهرة نسائية ضد الاحتلال البريطانى عام 1919. اكثر من 500 سيدة اشتركت فى المظاهرات فى ارجاء البلاد و كان ذلك اول ظهور للسيدات فى الحياة السياسية المصرية. قتلت سيدتيتن فى المظاهرات برصاص قوات الاحتلال البريطانى.

Art is a tool that interconnects between people; it exists and functions in a social context. An artist creates it and someone views it. However, lobbying or politicization is sometimes seen as a corruption of art. But it isn't. To ask "Is Art Political?" is to ask what circumstances of artistic creation and reaction make it possible for art to be political? As circumstances change, "political art" may no longer be political, "non-political" art may become political and so on. Not all Art is political, but all politics has an Aesthetic. Some people will debate that art is just something that should look good it's not there to make a testimonial. As Clement Greenbery said: "I don't see art as having ever in a real sense, affected the course of human affairs".   Other conflicting view for example like Bertold Bercht said: "Art is not a mirror to reflect reality but a hammer with which to shape it" - 1930's. ...

If you are an Egyptian or living in Egypt, you probably came across this statement:  “Listen your Obama, we are Egyptian women. You are, listen Obama, Shut up your mouse, shut up your mouse Obama! Sisi, yes, Sisi, yes. Morsi, no, Morsi, no.”   If you never heard of it you can watch this video to have a clearer overview: Mona Al- Beheiri, an Egyptian underprivileged woman  expresses her dissent, in a broken poor English and heavy Egyptian accent during the presidential elections in early 2014. Many people started to mock her on her poor English more over some folks believe she reflects the image of an uneducated and ignorant Egyptian women. Few days ago she appeared in the Arabs Got Talent Show for approximately 30 seconds and she was rejected. Some people say that someone made her turn up at that show, but that is not the problem. فى حدثين مهمين أوى الناس مستنياهم... الأول، تقرير وكالة الطاقة الذرية عن إيران وسط توقعات بإحتوائه على مفاجئة عن الشق العسكرى فى البرنامج وسط تهديدات وتسريبات عن إستعدادات أمريكية وبريطانية وصهيونية لضربة عسكرية ضد إيران لتأخير البرنامج النووى ثلاث سنوات... أما الحدث الثانى يوم السبت، فاإجتماع طارىء للجامعة العربية لمناقشة عدم تنفيذ سوريا للمبادرة العربية...حيث وافقت سوريا منذ أيام على المبادرة التى تنص على خروج الأليات العسكرية من المدن ووقف العنف والإفراج عن المعتقلين...ولكن لم تنفذ سوريا أى شىء بل وقصفت حمص قصفاً شديداً بالمدافع والصواريخ وتدور معارك شديدة هناك بين الجيش السورى الحر المنشق وعناصر الأمن والجيش والشبيحة...قد يتطور موقف الجامعة العربية لتعليق عضوية سوريا فى الجامعة أو نقل الملف لمجلس الأمن بعد الضغط على الصين وروسيا.

01.02.2011 Do you really think when you forbid telephone lines for a while, the internet and even not allowing people to walk on streets after 3 pm till 8 in the morning, will change anything?? Well my dear I guess you are wrong informed. You are building a very big wall between you and your nation. People feel suppressed and hatred is growing everyday stronger in their hearts. I am sitting since almost a week now at home and can not go out on the streets, just like everyone. No internet; means I have no connection with the other world, no connection with my very close friends in other countries. All I can do is watching the news on “Algesira”, “Alarabiya” and “BBC”. I hear from time to time “Bombs” -very near to my house- and I do not know if someone got killed or not. The only positive thing about is that I actually realized in this week, I have spent much more time with my family. Sometimes I ask my self, does life really make sense, when we all someday will die?
