Feeling Thoughtful

There is this thought that keeps hunting me every now and then that makes me feel bad about myself... When you meet someone, never build assumptions, never prejudices, never predict, never assume, never build an idea, nor conclusion on that person only through your first impression. People are so diverse and we all function differently. It could take someone an hour to show you who they truly are and another a life time to reveal part of themselves. I personally have been put in situations, where I’ve learned that I was completely wrong about people that I've met, and that there’s so much more one could learn and disclose only if the other person decided to reveal themselves.  Always keep the door open, because you never know what you may discover behind it, even if it might take you years. And excuse those who are not yet ready to divulge themselves. They might need a little more time to open up,.. maybe the key is already in your hands or the words lie between your magical ...

Where do I belong to?

So what is Identity? Who am I? What skin color I have? What believe do I follow? Does it matter where I was born? Does it matter where I live? Where I used to live? Does it matter where I come from? Does it matter, which ethnic group I come from? Does it matter if I wear the Hijab or not? Would you care to know where my roots come from? Do we actually know it? Do we actually have hold on our grade grand parents? Would you think of me differently if I was white? If I was Black? If I was a mix? If I was blond? If I had green, blue eyes? Does it really matter to you? Why would you care? I’m an Arab, North African and Mediterranean. In love with the ideology of world religions. I’m a muslim but grew up entirely in a Catholic school. In my heart lays Austria as number one and in my vines runs Egyptian blood. To these two beloved countries, I’ll always be truthfully forever thankful. But yet in search to where I belong to, while others might judge me from only my skin color or my relig...

Fourteen Years Ago

Fourteen years ago, I had a dream. A bitter - sweet one. A dream that kept me with butterfly. and joyous of a child. I prayed and Prayed. I prayed so hard day and night. I imagined, I planed, every second and every moment. Day after day, Year after year. Decades passed away until my dream faded away. Chattels have been forgotten Yearning, has been lost. Longing, has gone by the wind Little did I know, by the time I’ll grow. Perspectives, shaped me. Standpoint, evolved me. Time passes, Prayers answered, God responses. But difficult was it  to perceive it. Doors were open once again. To the moment We’ve been all waiting for. It’s right here in front of you. Sweep hands for second chances  and new beginnings. Warm words to heal the wounds. Sorrow and grief  I could see in your hazel brown eyes. But you forgot, you may forgive but never forget. Tried so hard ...

Seven’s year

And here dear readers comes my seven’s year of blogging. I may not be that active lately, but I always try my best to be around in away. There is always a lot I want to write down and share with you, but life when takes over… you know what I mean. Last year I did a promise to my self that at least once in the month I’ll post something. And gladly I managed it. This year I would keep in promise and try to write more about my life experiences and travels that I will be facing this year. On a site not…. where these six years go? How did time fly sooo quickly… I still remember the very first time I was thinking to great a blog, my first post… and the tones of thoughts I had for what I should write… the struggles I faced in putting my thoughts into words… phrases… paragraphs… articles… posts… all the time I gave to thinking of a simple layout… design…. Tons of time that was spent on mind blocking. Where did these years go? How did time fly that quickly? In blink of seconds… Let th...

The Clock

Everything in life happens according to our time, our clock. You may look at your friends and some may seem to be ahead or behind you, but they are not, they are living according to the pace of their clock, so be patient. You are not falling behind, its just not your time.

Breathe

I have been doing some reflections lately in my life and I came across many things that I've discovered and would like to share some of them with you.  We get stuck in labels . She is strong. He is funny. She is positive. You get my point. These labels manifest in our heads and we start believing that this is what you always need to project, this is how people see me and this is how I should always be. But this is not true. I am the strongest girl I know this month and the weakest one around the next. I have the cool sense of humor and the next day I can not get a joke.  We need to stop getting stuck in boxes. This causes us to put so much pressure on ourselves and it is unhealthy. Be whoever the hell you wake up wanting to be. No pressure. No label. Find a fixation . Find something that you can do, a car ride, a place you can sit, writing, drawing, dancing, yoga, singing in the shower. Find something that you can go to when everything else doesn't make sense (this h...

Culture #101

Culture is embedded in all human beings, in our mind, body and our collective memory. It is defined by everything from language to music, art, food, literature, fashion, humor, love, friendship, etc. It is the seed of a society, the web that keeps us connected, the foundation of our roots and the nature of our existence, our footprint, our mark in history. Culture is shared and nobody can do it alone. It is an ideal that is generated, transmitted and developed over time.

A year ago everything was different. I wouldn't have pictured myself like this and now that I look back, I have realized that a year can do a lot to a person.  So, in the end it is not the years in your life that count, it is the life in your years that count in order to have a life worth living. It is the pursuit of a memorable life!

I must accept the blessings of today

I need to live out all the blessings that God has given me today. Blessings cannot be saved for a rainy day. There is no bank with a safe deposit box for them. If I do not enjoy these blessings today, I lose them forever. Whatever I have done or might do in the course of my life, whether it's good or evil, has been done freely; I am a free agent. My success and my misfortunes, the bright and the dark days I have gone through, everything has proved to me that in this world, either physical or moral, good comes out of evil just as well as evil comes out of good. God knows that we are artists of life. One day He gives us a chisel, another we may receive brushes and a canvas, and still another day He gives us a pen to write. I am bound to add that the excess in too little has ever proved in me more dangerous than the excess in too much; the last may cause indigestion, but the first causes death. I know that I have lived because I have felt, and, feeling giving me the know...

- End of text -

It's funny but truly sad... how things that we actually thought we knew very well.. can turn all over in blink of seconds... in a heart beat.. and fly far away into directions that we never could have ever imagined... and yet here it comes... at the end... final destination... after all these long years... these years that saw tremendous excitements.. life changing experiences... stories and more stories... true love... all laughers... all cries... and I'm forever   utterly  thankful for all of that...  yet here it comes again... I am the storyteller... This is where everything in life actually starts... Once upon a time... there was a storyteller who told the forgotten stories of distant faces , broken objects and abandoned places for the storyteller knew that words are like magic and would bring everything back to life.. . would it?

The unexpected 10th - Last minute package

As random as it can get.. She had the most random thing that can happen to her since a long time and she can't grasp the idea how it even could happen. It's not her usual attitude towards life... On one of those normal days, it's almost noon, just few hours before the weekend to finally start. That one young lady had a very long busy week and it's almost coming to an end. Yet there are still some errands that still need to be done. It's a sunny and warm day. The Skye is purely clear blue and the metro is less crowded just few hours before the rush hour.  She wanted to make this mission during early April and some reasons she forgot and life hectic took over. She is about to miss the deadline.  But she seems she didn't care much. However the nearer we get to the day of the deadline she freaks out, it might be her only last chance so thought she, neither can’t she figure out what can be done next if that plan didn’t verve as it’s planed. She is running la...

Alles was ich mir wünschte, nur ein Zeichen von Gott

Als ob Gott mir was zeigen will..

Your Mess

Certain and strong I stood against it all once again. But the wind has blown me off to a stormy foreign land. Unknown and uncertain. I thought I know it all, but turned out I know nothing. That sharp image that I once knew, tuned to the darkest hazy blue. And it is getting out of hand. Amidst the chaos with an empty mind I hear no voices no sounds except for the echo of my screaming pride. So for a friendly voice I heed, If only you could see. But it makes no sense to wait for the sun heat in a rainy winter cold night.

The Truth will set you free?

Will it? Who said so, and who said that they said so, and how did they know? And just what is the truth anyway and where does it originate? Welcome to my world. It's as if the ground beneath my feet has quite simply vanished, evaporated. I just don't know what I know any more. Previously held beliefs, based on my own perception of truth, just seem to be falling away. I'm questioning where all my core beliefs came from and there is no solid ground. And that's even before getting into relative truth versus ultimate truth, and dimensional realities. I can't even be as clear as to say 'I know nothing', because maybe I know something, or everything, or nothing!!! And does it matter anyway? My list of uplifting soul moments got off to an easy start, then it started to require more thought. But I persevered and suddenly it was like creation itself burst through my mind and an overwhelming array of images and memories came flooding in. For the re...

The 6th of January

Today marks a very special day. Like today, 5 years ago… 5th Anniversary. You probably don’t know about it, not because you are ignorant, but because our chances didn’t gave us a real opportunity yet. Like today, 5 years ago… we were there and it was the start of everything that you probably still haven’t figure it out yet... neither I. But it was and it will always be a perfect and beautiful coincidence that none of us have thought of it. The 6th of january will always be marked as an incredible yet an absolute lovely encounter. I'm thankful, and I'm blessed.

In A Heart Beat

There are moments where I feel nothing and other where I’m hundred percent sure that I finally found what I have been looking for…  I feel uncertain and confused... I’m not sure,… but deeply down I know that I just want it to happen before anything else.  Sometimes it seems to be far away from our imagination.. and sometimes not. It feels so right. Just when I start to feel we are finally there... I feel lost. It all started in a heart beat… that I can’t tell when exactly.. or how…  Before what happened happened… Really? Are you sure? There are these special magical moments…  When I see a river of hope in your dark brown eyes… I tend to see it right down there. A romantic and idealistic indeed. But could easily turn into frozen stone in just blink of seconds. A prove is sometimes is all what I’m looking for.  And a promise that could keep me forever. Would you?

Please come home

It took me such a long time to figure it out. It’s only after I understood.  I realised we are so much alike. Only after I felt there is something missing. Just after all these years has passed. It took me so much time to grasp it.  But I twigged it. I found it and I know what I want.  Please come home!

Journey

2014, was one of the most exhausting, stressful, sleepless, harshest and yet challenging years of my life. It was amazing and meaningful. I feel grateful for the past 365 days that has passed in a blink of an eye but felt like an eternity. It was for sure one of these years that put me in one test after another. I had to choose many times between two roads, an easy one and a tough one. I always took the bitter yet tough road where I believed that it would be the right road for me even if I didn’t see it at that time. I was sure that god wouldn’t leave me. I had faith in him that he would let these bitter days pass by, even when on my weak days were it felt that nothing is moving, I knew that god was teaching me something. And I would have never learned it through the easy road. Today I'm thankful for more than ever for my tough days during 2014, without going through them, I would have not become this person today. I have taken many risks and I challenged mysel...
