A Moment of Silence II

Image
Brussels, Belgium, Center, 10 March 2019 When everything stops for a second. You stand still. You wonder what brought you here? Was it the right choice? When you thought finally things are about to settle, when things seemed to be matching perfectly, but then in blink of seconds your entire life changes rapidly unexpectedly. Fear and anxiety of the unknown is all what keeps hunting your thoughts. You wonder in the eyes of strangers, aiming to find a clear answer. Yet you believe in God’s timing. You believe in how things work when it’s time. No matter how bad we want it to happen. It will happen in the perfect timing. You only see meters in front of you while God… God always see the end of the road. Have faith!

Nippon Maru - Ship for World Youth Leaders - SWY29

Olá, Salut, Hola, Salam, Bula Vinaka, Namaste, Kon'nichiwa, Hujambo,  ‪ Kia Ora, Mālō e lelei, Vitavu! :) “Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta Jet lag is destroying me but #SWY29 has been remarkable! For approximately two month I gave myself to ocean life, to a new routine, trapped on a ship with 200+ new faces from around the globe, sailed one quarter of the earth together, from Japan: Tokyo, Fukui, Yokahama, Solomon Island: Honiara, Vanuatu: Port Villa, Aotearoa New Zealand: Auckland to Fiji and back to Tokyo. An extraordinary mind blowing experience. I’ve traveled a lot, I even lived abroad, crossed continents, seas, rivers and oceans, but SWY has been by far my all time favorite yet rich experience... and the most tremendous one to my heart. The Kingdom of Nippon Maru, Nippon Maru, was not just a normal Ship… it was home and home is where the heart is. A ship full of magical e...

Breathe

I have been doing some reflections lately in my life and I came across many things that I've discovered and would like to share some of them with you.  We get stuck in labels . She is strong. He is funny. She is positive. You get my point. These labels manifest in our heads and we start believing that this is what you always need to project, this is how people see me and this is how I should always be. But this is not true. I am the strongest girl I know this month and the weakest one around the next. I have the cool sense of humor and the next day I can not get a joke.  We need to stop getting stuck in boxes. This causes us to put so much pressure on ourselves and it is unhealthy. Be whoever the hell you wake up wanting to be. No pressure. No label. Find a fixation . Find something that you can do, a car ride, a place you can sit, writing, drawing, dancing, yoga, singing in the shower. Find something that you can go to when everything else doesn't make sense (this h...

A year ago everything was different. I wouldn't have pictured myself like this and now that I look back, I have realized that a year can do a lot to a person.  So, in the end it is not the years in your life that count, it is the life in your years that count in order to have a life worth living. It is the pursuit of a memorable life!

The unexpected 10th - Last minute package

As random as it can get.. She had the most random thing that can happen to her since a long time and she can't grasp the idea how it even could happen. It's not her usual attitude towards life... On one of those normal days, it's almost noon, just few hours before the weekend to finally start. That one young lady had a very long busy week and it's almost coming to an end. Yet there are still some errands that still need to be done. It's a sunny and warm day. The Skye is purely clear blue and the metro is less crowded just few hours before the rush hour.  She wanted to make this mission during early April and some reasons she forgot and life hectic took over. She is about to miss the deadline.  But she seems she didn't care much. However the nearer we get to the day of the deadline she freaks out, it might be her only last chance so thought she, neither can’t she figure out what can be done next if that plan didn’t verve as it’s planed. She is running la...

Alles was ich mir wünschte, nur ein Zeichen von Gott

Als ob Gott mir was zeigen will..

Nostalgia

Cairo - Downtown, 13.01.2016 Cairo, Egypt - Downtown -  Mohamed Mahmoud -  Bab Ellouk - DSB  I felt I want to have a walk in downtown. The sky was perfectly pure blue and the sun was beautifully warm shining. I walked with no intention nor a specific aim. I left my foot to lead the walk. And all of a sudden a storm of nostalgia and mixture of emotions hit me. All the memories, all the hard times, long nights and struggles were right infront of me. Now, I remember everything. It feels so real. It feels so fresh as if it was just yesterday. And here we are again. Who thought that this day would come again? And who thought that we would ever meet once again? I never thought that I will be standing here again, but this time without the bright blue skirt and the yellow blouse and fully aware of the adulthood.  With a surprise,  it was right in front of me. These dark orange walls that once used to look too high and it's bright green windows... but...

There’s a Reason

There’s a reason why I had to take some serious steps in my life. There’s a reason why at some point of my life I was not okay with my decision afterwards. There’s a reason why I had to deal with something’s in that particularly way. There’s a reason why I’m satisfied now with my decisions and couldn’t be happier. There’s a reason why I was so stubborn for the fact that I wanted to change things. There’s a reason why I couldn’t change things. There's a reason why things are the way they are.. If there's one thing that I' ve learned, it would be that one can’t write nor run from his very own destiny. Everything is written for our own sake. Even if you can’t believe it yet, you will thank God later on. For he is the one who saves us and knows what’s best for us.

As we enter 2015..

This is a great idea for collecting all the good and happy moments one pass by through out the year. It can be a thought that crossed your mind or a smile that took your breath away, a beautiful memory, a new experience that you gained in 2015 or just watching anything that made you feel happy.  If you start doing it now, you will end up appreciating your life :)

Journey

2014, was one of the most exhausting, stressful, sleepless, harshest and yet challenging years of my life. It was amazing and meaningful. I feel grateful for the past 365 days that has passed in a blink of an eye but felt like an eternity. It was for sure one of these years that put me in one test after another. I had to choose many times between two roads, an easy one and a tough one. I always took the bitter yet tough road where I believed that it would be the right road for me even if I didn’t see it at that time. I was sure that god wouldn’t leave me. I had faith in him that he would let these bitter days pass by, even when on my weak days were it felt that nothing is moving, I knew that god was teaching me something. And I would have never learned it through the easy road. Today I'm thankful for more than ever for my tough days during 2014, without going through them, I would have not become this person today. I have taken many risks and I challenged mysel...
