A Letter To The World!

To: The World
From: New Egypt
Subject: Yes, We made it.

I never imagined my self taking part of a revolution. Actually I never really had interest in politics, but sure I had a picture of what is going around. But today was different; it was a way of breaking rules, in order to set Egypt Free. It was the day when the majority of Egyptians got united (rich/poor, Muslim/Christian, liberal/conservative, young/old, etc...) and said “NO, WE NEED OUR RIGHTS”. Since then I hoped for a beginning of a new Egypt. Therefore the only reasons that forced me to go to demonstrate and start to be more open to politics were those people who are searching for their rights, who need a help from us, who feel that no one hears their voices. Simply said things that touched my heart and forced me to try to do something against it, because after all we are one nation.

Dear world,

Things were not fine.
And the people decided to do something about it.
On the 25th of January 2011, the protests began.
They were initiated through a Facebook page, set up by a group of Egyptian youth.
The page called for Peaceful Protests, and peaceful protests is what Egypt got that day.
In response to the protests, Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak ordered a shutdown of all Internet access on January 28th.

And the violence and terror began…

The regime did all it can to ruin the image of those people by making them seem violent, accusing them of stealing, and calling them agents.
Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak made two speeches during that period. Both promised nothing. All the changes he made had nothing to do with what the people wanted.

So Tahrir stepped in..

Welcome to Tahrir Sq world,
The home to more than 1 million Egyptians for almost 18 days.
In Tahrir Sq, A new Egypt was born. There you would find a Street Clinic, Public Bathrooms, Wall of Martyrs, Water Point, Campsite, Food Stalls, a Newspaper wall, a Pharmacy, Recycle Bins, a main Stage, you will find everything you will need there.
Everyone asked for the same thing.
They wanted Mubarak out!

On the 11th of February 2011, Mubarak finally got the message!
The people overthrew the regime!
People started
chanting in Tahrir sq: „ Stand up tall, You are an Egyptian!“, and „The people with the army finally overthrew the regime!”

But it did not stop here; it was just a beginning, a new start and a new page for a better and safe life in the future. And it will never stop; it will be continued with the next coming generation.

After all the people of Egypt reached their aim and celebrated their night away,
they came back the next morning to Tahrir Sq. with a new mission..
They came back, to clean and rebuild their New Egypt, together, united for a better Tomorrow.

Egyptians just made a new history that everyone in the world was and still talking about it. Our youth entered it and it was the most peaceful and purist revolutionaries ever!

Today we mark our calendars’.

The next president, will think about it twice before he decide to rule the country! We were heard and we will never be silenced ever again.

Welcome, to a New Egypt
Today,
·        Egypt is the place where people do not litter.
·        It is the place where people help each other to keep the streets clean.
·        They do not pay bribes.
·        They will Report for any injustice.
·        Where guys protect girls in the streets and treat them like sisters.
·        Where Muslims and Christians are one and remain united.
·        Where people ask for their full rights and nothing less.
·        Egypt will never go back to where it was, but it will keep racing forward to ensure the better future for her children.

January the 25th did not only change our ruling regime, but it changed each and every one of us.

Finally,

My blessings to every single martyr that died in order that we could live and celebrate the libration of Egypt in 2011.

So Dear World come and see it with your own eyes!
Yes, we made it!

Sincerely,
New Egypt.
