Shame on you Egyptians!

As I am currently in my semester break, sick and have a fever; I have got nothing else to do except -I have to- spend my days in bed -.- and take awful medicine. So I am Facebook-ing, Reading, Blogging, listening to music and so on…
I came along a very interesting Blog today, that attracted me to read it, actually you can say I fell in love with it JThe Writer knows exactly how to send his message and his point of view in a very simple and polite way. And therefore I loved the way he expresses what he wants to say.
Anyway back to the point, through his profile I came across this Blog “Cairo Ramadan” and I thought it's worth sharing it with you.

He was talking about how he is going to spend Ramadan in Cairo.

He made me think back to the days while I was in Vienna. Spending Ramadan abroad, it is definitely neither the same experience nor the same atmosphere like in Egypt.
In a foreign country you try to make the best out of it though with your Muslims friends or Relatives, but as soon as you face it on the streets everything seems to be different… and it's kind of “ you live your own world!” you will find everyone on the street practicing his/her life normally. In contrast to Christmas where everyone is celebrating even we celebrate with them! Ever asked why?? I’m not against it but I’m just curious to know...

And in Egypt and even in every other Islamic country you will feel Ramadan... Everyone around you is fasting and we all get up late at night for “sohur” simply said there is a community between us… and for those who say we do not have a life… They are actually poor... because sadly they never had the chance to taste the same atmosphere of happiness and warmth with their families and friends, as we do.

To make it short Ramadan in Cairo…there is something about!!!

I also have to say that I love the way, when the writer shows us through his blog, how curious he is and ready to discover more about his country “Egypt”. So Chapeau for him!

Lately I realized that there are so many youth and even elderly people in this country who talk very badly about it. I can somehow understand them, we have political problems, we have economics problems, too may unfair things happens, you can’t trust people easily anymore, someone has to cheat on you, etc. But that does not mean you should talk badly about it or to decide to emigrate … and that’s all because you just can’t stand life here anymore. If you want to see a CHANGE in this country someday then you should start to change yourself first… BE THE CHANGE U WANT TO SEE!!
Just look around you, we have got lots of things -here in Egypt- to be proud of!

When I was in Vienna or just visiting a country and had the chance to meet new people later when they find out that I am Egyptian (I can’t express it, but you just have to see their reaction)they feel proud when they have the “chance” to meet someone from our country!

It is very rare nowadays, to find someone who respects his country –Egypt-, shame on you Egyptians!!

I’m proud to say, if I wasn’t an Egyptian, I would have wished to become one…
Simply I love this country!
