Hope.

Hope for … … a better life in the future? … peace? … lots of money? … true love? … good job? … long life? … good Education? … getting away from parents as soon as possible? … winning the lottery? … luck? … expensive gifts/presents? …  etc etc etc … What Is Hope? Hope is the belief that circumstances in the future will be better. It's not a wish that things will get better, but kind of “ belief ”, that things might/could end up in a good and positive way! It is when someone sees something, decides that it is desirable, realizes that they may not get it, but believes that there is still a chance of getting it. A person with hope believes that a situation “ might ” have a positive outcome. There may not be evidence that such an outcome is possible, but hope is more than just a wish that something will suddenly change. Rather, it's an expectation that things will work out for the best. Hope has been considered both evil and virtuous.   It isn't easy, but we got...

Shame on you Egyptians!

As I am currently in my semester break, sick and have a fever; I have got nothing else to do except -I have to- spend my days in bed -.- and take awful medicine. So I am Facebook-ing, Reading, Blogging, listening to music and so on… I came along a very interesting Blog today, that attracted me to read it, actually you can say I fell in love with it J The Writer knows exactly how to send his message and his point of view in a very simple and polite way. And therefore I loved the way he expresses what he wants to say. Anyway back to the point, through his profile I came across this Blog “Cairo Ramadan” and I thought it's worth sharing it with you. He was talking about how he is going to spend Ramadan in Cairo. He made me think back to the days while I was in Vienna. Spending Ramadan abroad, it is definitely neither the same experience nor the same atmosphere like in Egypt. In a foreign country you try to make the best out of it though with your Muslims friends or Relatives, but as ...

They Called It Tradition

- Painful Tradition -    Most of us just live their lives and try to do the best out of it. Some of us struggles and fight with their parents in order to do and get what they want. In fact many of us are careless, egoistic and just think how to please them selves in the first place. We live in our own worlds and we do not know how other people live, we actually do not know that they exist, because we are full with our own problems, while they are nothing against people who do not have food to eat or water to survive. Where children start working at a very young age, because their parents are ill and someone has to bring money to the family. Girls who have to be circumcised in order to be able to marry ect ect ect. And we … what do we do? We always complain about everything instead of being thankful while others are not having half of what we have. Have you ever heard about a nomad’s life in Somalia ? Well let me tell you, they live under extremely poor conditions; their...

Eh Oui ... C'est Moi!

I did not do this Blog, because it is seen as a movement between youth today, but because I always had the feeling I want to write something, but I was too scared not to know how to express my feelings, maybe because I know my English is not that good enough to express what I want to say. Anyway who gave me that push was my Theory teacher, after reading some Essays and Article’s of mine at university. However sometimes I wonder, what is the point of having a blog when I have my diary to write in? ... I think it is a good way to share our ideas and our point of views with people we love. Well I thought it is a better idea to i ntroduce a bit about my self as it is my first Blog and for those who still dose not know me well. My name is Nesma Attiatalla. I am an undergraduate student, studying Applied Sciences and Arts at the German University in Cairo , simple Globie girl that wants to explore as much of the world as possible and get do know more about different cultures....
